current classroom conditions
Our Goal is Simple...
To Bring modern education materials and techniques to Apuk Padoc Communities.
Education
In the summer of 2007, Machara Miracle Network brought 600 lbs of educational supplies and training materials to the village of Apuk Padoc. We were especially excited to see that the village had raised money to begin the construction of a new school over the previous year. The school was completed in 2007, but it has since had little use as there is no money for teacher's salaries or supplies of classroom materials. In addition, one of the four classroom's roof was blown off during the rainy season of 2009 and no money has been available to repair the roof.

Current Educational Projects
Sponsered Student Training
We are currently providing scholarships for three young men who are considered potential teachers. They are currently attending school in Kampala Uganda. Their efforts there are being monitored by one of the Lost Boys of Sudan, Emmuel Monychol, who is himself university student in Uganda. It is our intention that all of these boys will eventually return to the Apuk Padoc Communities with the skills needed to make a sizable contribution to the Community's development.
School Supplies
collecting money donations to buy supplies for the village school.
Note: On our first trip to Africa, we realized that it is much cheaper to buy basic school supplies in Africa, and then transport them to the Apuk Padoc Communities. In the future, hard to find items not available in Africa will continue to be shipped from the United States.
School Library
We are accepting donations of middle age children's books (ages 10-17.)
